Update From My Foster Home

Lily likes her chew sticks and has gotten comfortable on a dog bed or furniture.

Lily is getting more comfortable here, in just the fact that she is starting to lay down on a dog bed. Our observation of her these past few weeks has shown us that she likes to play with other dogs OUTSIDE, but isn't quite comfortable with them indoors yet. She has a protective instinct when it comes to humans. She doesn't care for other dogs to walk by when she is laying in your lap and will growl to them. Note: We are now using a squirt bottle to let her know that growling is not acceptable. Will post how that goes in a week or so after more time using this non-abusive method.

She is a loving dog. Likes to lay in your lap. Great playing ball and dropping it at your feet to throw again, and again and again. :o) Loves tug-a-war with stuffies with another dog.

She needs positive method obedience training. She doesn't appear to know basic commands other than sit (We're working on those now). She is very comfortable in her kennel and goes in without issue and spends hours in it quietly. She doesn't like a big screen TV and will bark at the moving picture some times.

One By One I'm Winning Them Over

One by one I'm making friends in the pack. Here Ali, once an IBR dog like me, lets me share her bed to chew on my rawhide.

Now Be Honest, Can You Really Resist This Face

I'm enjoying my play time with the pack. They are getting use to me. Here I'm playing with Heathcliff (click on his name to go to his blog) also a foster dog with IBR

We had 2 inches of snow and it was fun running around with Ali and Cliff.

This on is with just Ali.

New Day. Better Day. Less Stress.

You can see from my pictures today, that I am feeling a little less stressed, no drool in these pictures!

See my pearly white teeth.

I reeeealy love to play fetch.

Here, want to throw it for me?

Don't think I can get this in my mouth.

Right now, I like to hide my food rather than eat it, but as I get more comfortable, that will change.

First Day in a Strange Place

I just arrived at my temporary foster home and I'm a little stressed on all that is happening.
I can tell you that I'm a year 1/2 old. I was adopted from a shelter when I was 4 mos and lived with a very nice family until now.
I was an only dog, but I use to go to the dog park and run and play. I know my basic commands.
This is confusing to me right now. I have 5 other dogs sharing my home and I'm trying to figure out where I fit in the pack.

I like to play and fetch tennis balls and I like stuffies.
